Natural Bodycare
Green Island bodycare products are made with loving care for your benefit and enjoyment. We test all our products extensively on human volunteers, never on animals. The lotions and creams will keep for at least 2 years if stored cool and dark. They do not keep well in full sunlight. We do use natural preservatives, depending on the properties of the product, such as salt, grapefruit seed extract, potassium sorbate, rosemary oleoresin, vitamin E, benzoin resin, and in some products, borax and/or alcohol.
Ingredients
Our bodycare products are made with nothing but natural ingredients. We use no chemical stabilizers, emulsifiers, fillers or liquid plastics. Essential oils, extracts made from local curative herbs, aloe gel and vegetable waxes are our active ingredients. When you read the label on a product, sometimes you feel you should be a chemist to be able to understand it! We feel you should be able to read what you are getting. Our label clearly states the ingredients. By law we are obliged to put the correct name on the label, though: Lavender essential oil is Lavandula augustifolia (or officinalis), and all of our plant and herb materials are identified by their Latin name.
